Before You Start

Check That Everything Is Plugged In

Often a cord or wire will be tugged at some point in daily life and become partially unplugged, this small issue can sometimes cause massive problems. Therefore, before hunting for another solution, always check that all wires and cords are firmly latched into the device.

Possible Solutions:

No Picture

Be sure the TV is plugged in and turned on.
Cycle through your TV input sources (video, HDMI, etc).
It is not uncommon to have to reboot your set top box, unplug the set top box from the power supply for 2 minutes and try again. If this happens frequently, please contact our office so we may schedule a repair trip. Fiber customers, please unplug the power from the ONT for 2 minutes by removing the power plug from the wall outlet (not from the back of the ONT).

Activation Code

Your equipment may ask for "Activation Code".
Enter your 10 digit home phone number.
Customers who do not have a home phone with BBTEL will need to Contact the office for this number.

Guide

Press the STB button on your BBTEL remote control.
Press the guide button on your BBTEL remote control until the proper guide appears.

Remote Control

If the remote control will not change channels, press STB on your BBTEL remote control.
It is not uncommon to have to reboot your set top box; unplug the set top box from the power supply for 2 minutes and try again. If this happens frequently, please contact our office so we may schedule a repair trip.
